Global Music Visions had a great day at the Disability Empowerment Fayre on Wednesday14 October,at Portsmouth Football Club.
We spent the day with our stand demonstrating our music equipment and chatting about what we offer.
We also spent time networking with other organisations, looking to help create opportunities for others.

Global Music Visions held a taster session for the Loud and Proud Community group in Gosport.
After a chat about GMV and what they can do, the group were able to get involved and use some of the equipment for themselves. The evening ended with a question and answer discussion.

Global Music Visions visited Helping Hooves UK where we had a look at the facilities.
We had a lovely afternoon discussing future project ideas. We also looked at accessibility from a visual impairment perspective. We advised on things that could make it easier to access for people living with a visual impairment.
Following his graduation, David Shervill, Founder of Global Music Visions, is now a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs, Hampshire.
With support from the S ocial Entrepreneurs course and from Lloyds Banking Group, Global Music Visions will continue to achieve its goal.

Global Music Visions were guests at Awaaz Community Radio in Southampton on the Danny Sunder show on September 13th, 2015.
We talked to the listeners about what GMV does, why GMV was founded, and our aims and objectives.
Listeners were invited to phone, text, or email the station with any questions. GMV was able to offer suggestions and share points of view surrounding accessibility issues, and living with visual impairment.

September 12th, Fratton Community Centre
Global Music Visions facilitated a small music workshop with a group from Victory Hants, at Fratton Community Centre.
The group played with the different software instruments, enabling them to compose, record their own sound, vocals, and edit pieces within the project.
Here are two members of the group working with David of GMV.
Global Music Visions has been working for over a year now as part of the Rant Music Project, at the Charles Dickens Centre, Lake Road in Portsmouth.
We have been working with David Ord, a musician who plays the Clarinet and saxophone. He wanted to be recorded playing along to some of his favourite songs.
Now, with our support, he has got an album of his own called Music Inspiration, and there may be more in the future.

Victory Hants and GMV worked together on a fully inclusive walking football session.
People of all ages and abilities, including those affected by sight loss, limb impairment, and able bodied participated together, and a great time was had by all!
The afternoon showed that, by understanding the game rules, and respecting the needs of fellow players, everyone could join in.
