Today we had a great music workshop at the Charles Dickens Centre, Lake Road, Portsmouth. The participants continued to develop their song today, with additional support from musician Mike.

We had another music workshop today at the Charles Dickens Centre, Lake Road, Portsmouth. The participants now have the beginnings of a song written, performed and engineered by members of the group.

It was a relaxed session with the group at Minstead Trust in Portsmouth. We continued working with the iPad today, using different instrument sounds. The group enjoyed playing the Glockenspiel, and Wind Chimes.
We had another music workshop today at the Charles Dickens Centre, Lake Road, Portsmouth. The focus of the session today was music technology, and the group was able to start to lay the foundations for their own project ideas.

We had the second of our two music workshops at the Charles Dickens Centre, Lake Road, Portsmouth. In the session some participants continued their introduction to music technology and recording, by exploring more of the software, for others this was new. They also had support with playing the acoustic guitars. The group worked together to setup the microphones, to play and to record/engineer a piece of music, which they had composed.

It was an enjoyable session with the group at Minstead Trust in Portsmouth. We continued with the iPad today, and introduced some new artifacts about the seaside. We also listened to music, played the percussion instruments, incorporating some other activities.

Had another fun session with the group at Minstead Trust in Portsmouth. We revisited “the seaside” theme today. We also listened to music, played the percussion instruments, and introduced the iPad for people to have a go on.

Using computer music software, and real instruments, you will have an introduction to music technology. You will be able to compose your own music, and play instruments in the software. You may enjoy singing, or recording, editing, and mixing your ideas? These small group sessions are for people of all ages, living with some form of sight loss or other disabilities, and will be driven by you as a group, in a safe supportive environment.
