Global Music Visions C.I.C. had a productive meeting with Carolyn Barber from The Good Mental Health Cooperative, looking around Portsmouth Cathedral from an accessibility stand point, ready for when they run their main event in May 2016.

Global Music Visions attended the recent ‘Finding Your Feet’ event, held by Action for Blind People to help people adjusting to sight loss.
The event was held at the Holiday Inn, Southsea, Portsmouth.
David of Global Music Visions said:

David of Global Music Visions returned as a fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs Hampshire (SSE), along with his Lloyds mentor David Thomas.
Both spoke to the new cohort of students and their mentors about their own positive experiences of being a mentee and a mentor.David of GMV also spoke about his social enterprise, the SSE Business course, and the brilliant support he received from his Lloyds mentor, and the SSE team.
Global Music Visions enjoyed talking to a group of people about the services we offer, at the November 2015 ‘Finding Your Feet’ Course.
Facilitated by Action for Blind People, the two day event at the Marriott Hotel in Portsmouth offered practical workshops, guest speakers from different organisations and provided information about the help and support that is available to people living with some form of sight loss.
David of GMV, spoke about his own experiences living with sight loss, and how the idea for Global Music Visions came to be a reality. He also worked as a volunteer for Action for Blind people over the two days, helping facilitate the sessions.Overall it was an eventful two days.
Global Music Visions held a taster session for the Loud and Proud Community group in Gosport.
After a chat about GMV and what they can do, the group were able to get involved and use some of the equipment for themselves. The evening ended with a question and answer discussion.

Global Music Visions visited Helping Hooves UK where we had a look at the facilities.
We had a lovely afternoon discussing future project ideas. We also looked at accessibility from a visual impairment perspective. We advised on things that could make it easier to access for people living with a visual impairment.
