Red Sauce Inclusive Theatre Group Open Film Event for “The Promise” Project 19th July 2022

Members of the public joined the cast and crew to watch the film documenting their time on “The Promise” as part of the Queens Platinum Jubilee celebrations. They also watched a film of their main performance, which took place on 6thJune at Portsmouth Guildhall. Everyone enjoyed the event and the cast each received a miniature ‘Oscar’ in recognition for their work.

Red Sauce Theatre Inclusive Theatre Group Perform “The Promise” at Portsmouth Guildhall on 6th June 2022

Everyone had a great day at the Guildhall Portsmouth performing the show as part of the Queens Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.

We began working together with the Red Sauce Inclusive Theatre Company, Film Crew 4U CIC, and Owl XL CIC in April 2022. We are proud to have been involved in putting on this show, working with everyone to create the backing track used in the performance, and supporting at rehearsals. Thank you to the team at The Guildhall Portsmouth for their help on the day.

Global Music Visions C.I.C. Red Sauce Theatre Company, Film Crew 4U CIC, and Owl XL CIC have been awarded £9,920.00 from the Arts Council’s Let’s Create Jubilee Fund by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation (HIWCF) – ensuring that creativity plays an important role in local community celebrations for Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The Let’s Create Jubilee Fund will ensure that thousands of people from communities all across England will have the opportunity to take part in exciting creative events – all in celebration of the Platinum Jubilee. From puppetry and story creation, through to making crowns, carnival and art trails, there will be a huge range of exciting activities for people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in.

Global Music Visions C.I.C. The Red Sauce Theatre Company, and Film Crew 4U CIC, will be working together to deliver a performance called “The Promise”, based on the speech made by Princess Elizabeth to the Commonwealth. The Red Sauce Inclusive Theatre Group will be involved in all aspects of this Production, including acting, performance, music and sound creation, green screen technology and film production, and culminating in a main performance at Portsmouth Guildhall Studio on Monday 6thJune 2022. Owl XL CIC will be measuring the Social Outcomes and Impact of the project.

Made possible thanks to National Lottery players and administered by UK Community Foundations on behalf of the Arts Council, the Let’s Create Jubilee Fund will support a huge range of projects throughout England. 44 community foundations have been awarding grants across the country.

Global Music Visions C.I.C. Inclusive Music Project November 2021 – February 2022

From November 2021 through until February 2022, we have been able to facilitate Inclusive Music Workshops with a local school engaging young people through various music activities. Thank you to Freelance Musician Jim Chorley, and Music Fusion for their support on this project.

Global Music Visions C.I.C. Website Update November and December 2021

It has been an interesting couple of months as we round off 2021. We have been able to work using online platforms, and facilitate face-to-face sessions, keeping restrictions in place. We were able to attend events, where work we created with groups has been unveiled or displayed. Also we have started a couple of new projects, which we will be continuing to work on in the New Year. We worked with Rachel Goodall on two of her shows, recording the narrative and creating backing tracks. These will accompany each of her theatre performances of “The Mysterious Tale Of The Ships Cat,” and “Captain Woodward And His Performing Seals” Productions.

Global Music Visions C.I.C. Developing ideas for a Splodge Designs Project, “Who Cares” August – September 2021

We were really pleased to be asked by Splodge Designs to be involved with their “Who Cares Project”. Using their own experiences of hidden disability as the basis of their ideas, our participants have created 3 pieces of work, which will be used in some form within the overall project, and will be showcased in an event in November 2021.

Recording Session with a GMV Group at The Old Blacksmiths Studios Portsmouth for LMS UK Film Documentary 31st July and 2nd August 2021

We had a great couple of days at the Old Blacksmiths Recording Studio in Portsmouth. We worked with another group to record their song, for an upcoming film documentary. Thank you to our session musicians Nathan Shervill and Will Powell, from A Rocket Complex, for your support on this project. Also, thank you to the studio team for your encouragement and support.
